A rectangular spiny shell was cut, polished, and set in a smooth bezel and surrounded by a hand stamped sterling silver frame. It was lightly oxidized to bring out the detail and give it a vintage look. It has a comfortable split shank band. Spiny shell is found deep in the Sea of Cortez off the Baja Peninsula. It is considered an organic gem because, unlike a stone,
