Indian craftspeople began using the stunning shell in their jewelry making after seeing the vibrant colors available. Historically, the Navajos traded turquoise for this valuable shell. This Navajo artist used slightly graduated, polished purple Spiny Oyster shells to create a stunning 24" necklace. Very light and comfortable to wear.
