Expect vibrant, punchy, red floral, dark cherry, plum and bitter chocolate notes and an easy, succulent texture until the pippy tannins kick in to clean up the finish. In spite of the evident ripeness, there is a racy, lineal structure, almost as if the grapes were grown at high altitude. Aging only in tank helps, as well as does the inclusion of the Alicante. Quite
