viking needle case LARP wapens the tent measures 5 xThe needle case is a replica of a 9th10th century original excavated alongside another needle case in grave 515 in the Viking town of Birka. Needles were considerably more expensive than their modern counterparts, and were therefore kept with great care. The needle case was fastened to the belt by means of a lace. Beautifully decorated, this piece served both a functional and a decorative purpose.
